Pediatric surgery is a subspecialty of surgery involving the surgery of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. As a subspecialty in the Department of Surgery, we are highly committed to those diseases or congenital anomalies that occur in children, such as intussusception, hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, biliary atresia, and hepatoblastoma. In addition to the destruction of lesions, it is essential to simultaneously care about the functional results in the future into adulthood. In Taiwan, pediatric surgery mainly exists in medical centers to establish a multidisciplinary collaboration for children.
