About Us
 The department of Endocrinology & Metabolism, Shuang Ho Hospital was established in July 2008. The staff of the department consists of one supervisor, four attending physicians, and four diabetes educators.
 The department, a team of specialists, echo room, and Health Education Office for Diabetes, provides a high quality of medical care on diabetes, metabolic disorders, and endocrine diseases. In addition, we provide the examinations of thyroid echography and fine needle aspiration cytology. At the same time, Health Education Office for Diabetes is specific on consultation of diabetes self-care and prevention of diabetic complications, as well as hold activities for patient instruction.

Treatment
 Diabetes mellitus, body weight abnormal change, thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, gonadal dysfunction, secondary hypertension, hyperlipidemia, gout and other related metabolic and endocrine diseases

Outpatient Services
 Patients with diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, and thyroid disorders are the most common ones in our outpatient clinic. Health Education Office for Diabetes and Nutrition Office promote health education and diet instruction for prevention of complications and enhance effects of treatment.

Inpatient Services
 The medical care for inpatient includes diabetes-related diseases (acute diabetic complications, poor glycemic control, diabetic nephropathy, diabetic neuropathy, diabetic peripheral artery disease, and diabetic foot), and endocrine diseases (moderate and severe hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism with severe complications, acute thyroiditis, Cushing’s syndrome, Conn’s syndrome, adrenal insufficiency, pheochromocytoma, prolactinoma, acromegaly, panhypopituitarism, diabetes insipidus, primary hyperparathyroidism, and hypoparathyroidism).

Urine: routine urine analysis, microalbumin, free cortisol, urine osmolarity, catecholamine, VMA, et al.

Endocrine Functional Tests: OGTT, insulin tolerance test, glucagon test, Clonidine test, L-dopa test, TRH test, GnRH test, ACTH stimulation test, Dexamethasone suppression test, water deprivation test, et al.
